Fine Arts & Music

Beth Hillel Day School offers a range of arts-integrated opportunities to help students discover and nurture their individual talents.

During weekly art instruction, students learn the elements and principles of art. They explore themes in art through the disciplines of aesthetics, art criticism, art history and art-making. Students work is collected in individual portfolios and displayed during our Spring Art Show.

In our music program, students discover a variety of musical styles through rhythm, movement, instrumental and vocal music. Students learn to play the recorder and percussion instruments and are introduced to musical theory and notation. Students enjoy visits by classical musicians and participate in music-related field trips. Students are always excited to demonstrate their musical knowledge at our Annual Concerts.

We also have an after-school orchestra program. Our Orchestra students perform in the annual Spring Concert.
