Student Council

Beth Hillel Elementary strives to develop leadership skills in every child.

Students in grades 2-6 are eligible to participate in the Beth Hillel Elementary Student Council. Students in grades 3-6 are eligible to run for school officer positions. In grades 2-6 each class will elect a representative. Officer positions are President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Student Council affords students a leadership opportunity within the school. Elections occur in the early fall for the school year. While encouraged to set their own agenda (which is then supported by their advisers), Student Council leads the school talent show and Lag B’Omer field day and fall and spring fund raisers for the school.

Imagine a school where everyone knows each other by name. A school where everyone treats you like family and the kindergarteners mingle with the 6th graders in such a loving way. That is what you get at Beth Hillel Elementary School.
